Ramsay Connect success leads to WA expansion

The success of Ramsay Connect has resulted in the launch of a dedicated workforce in Perth to deliver services in patients’ homes.

Ramsay Connect provides an integrated health care experience, allowing people to access hospital care and rehabilitation services at home, where they often feel most at ease.

The Ramsay Connect WA workforce comprises a care coordinator, personal care assistants and community-based care professionals such as nurses and physiotherapists.  

A dedicated Ramsay Connect WA phone number will be set up for the convenience of local referrers and patients. 

The WA service is available for eligible patients at Hollywood Private Hospital, Joondalup Health Campus, Glengarry Private Hospital and Attadale Rehabilitation Hospital.

Ramsay Connect Chief Executive Officer, Ian Galvin, said the expansion of Ramsay Connect in WA would provide greater choice for patients transitioning from hospital to home. 

“We started Ramsay Connect in March last year and it’s been a huge success, with more than 1500 people benefitting from the service across Australia,” Mr Galvin said.

“It has been encouraging to see such a strong uptake of in-home care solutions being driven by patients and their treating doctors.”

Ramsay Connect is a joint venture between Ramsay Health Plus and Remedy Healthcare.
