As part of COVID-19 restrictions, there are two types of visitor classifications: ‘essential visitors’ and ‘other visitors.’
An ‘essential visitor’ may visit outside of visiting hours and includes:
- nominated parent, guardian or carer of a person with a disability
Patients other than those who need an essential visitor may have a maximum two (2) visitors per patient per day (for a maximum two hour visit) between 3.30pm – 6.30pm.
Rules for visitors
All visitors are required to:
- Show proof of vaccination (unvaccinated essential visitors may be given an exemption in certain situations)
- Undergo screening
- Wear a surgical mask for the entirety of their stay
- Be over 12 years of age
Visitors are not permitted if they have either tested positive to COVID or been a close contact in the last 14 days.
