New nursing graduates join Glengarry Private Hospital and Attadale Rehabilitation Hospital

Mar 09, 2022

Glengarry Private Hospital and Attadale Rehabilitation Hospital have welcomed new Enrolled Nurse (EN) and Registered Nurse (RN) graduates.

Graduate nurses Larah Price (RN), Joan Kihiu (RN) and AnnMaree Celisano (EN) are working at Glengarry in specialties such as theatre, surgical and rehabilitation. Graduate nurse Amy Broomhall (RN) is working at Attadale in rehabilitation.

Graduate coordinator Sarah Hinchliffe said the graduates were supported by clinicians eager to share their knowledge and skills within each ward/department.

Ramsay Health Care employed the new graduates as part of a two-year fellowship program, which guarantees a permanent contract.

The new recruits are part of a 97 strong intake of Ramsay WA graduates inducted across five hospitals.

Across the nation, 539 new graduate nurses started at RHC hospitals, representing a 25 per cent increase on the previous years’ intakes.

Shortages in the clinical workforces is one of the biggest challenges facing hospitals in Australia and around the world.

Chief Executive Officer Carmel Monaghan said Ramsay Health Care Australia is investing to ensure it is the employer of choice for healthcare staff.
